Introduction

Let me say it again as in the 2014 report, that social sciences research is a social critism.  Here is a presentation of Undergraduate Research Reports 2015 which are critical examination and assessment of the selected concepts guided by the following methodological lines:-

1.      Reformulation and critisms of the existing literature on the concepts of the researches to explain the objectives of the researches.
2.      Second, is collection of available statistical data to make explanation of relationships between the concepts selected for social investigation

In this academic session (2014/2015), about eighteen students have worked in a single area, with varied topics.  This area is “Multilateral Trade and Development in Developing Countries”.  Another student worked outside the general area and submitted his work on “Social Media and 2015 elections in Nigeria”.

Seven of these students including the one on social media and 2015 elections in Nigeria presented papers on their work in a Workshop organised by WTO Mock Summit and Research Group for discussion.  These papers are judged to be publishable and are going to be published.  These are:-

1.      Johnson Isaac Wisdom
2.      Abdul-Muthalib A. Lawan
3.      Muhammad Dahiru Musa
4.      Ahmed Lirwan Khalifa
5.      Usman Ahmed Sani
6.      Achin Simon Aoudongu
7.      John Dominic Sunday

Multilateral trade and development is examined from different topical perspective, such as Agricultural Trade and Regionalism with implications of these on individual countries and the developing world in general.

A more focus attention is given to the challenges faced by the developing counties and their future prospects in WTO Regime of trade.  There is an insightful contribution on the emerging powers, Emerging New Economic Order through the Multilateral trading system.  Again as it is dictated by power relations in the global system “The Role of G7 Countries also came into focus”.

Still, against the sceptics who would doubt a study on Multilateral Trade and Development in Political Science.  I have addressed thus problem in the 2014 Report and the general principles apply to this too.
